形態特徵

• Plants twining. Stem glabrous, branched.
• Leaves opposite, the young ones pubescent along main veins and at margins, deciduous with age; blade oblong or lanceolate, glabrous, abruptly acute to acuminate at apex, slightly cordate and with about 5 glands at base, lateral veins 3–5 pairs, 5–8 cm long, 1–2.7 cm broad; petioles more or less pubescent, denser upward portion, 1.5–2.5 cm long, grooved.
• Inflorescences axillary, cymose, 1–3 per node, usually erect from short flowering branches; peduncles glabrous, 0.5–1.3 cm long; rachis absent or slightly zigzag, glabrous; bracteole 1 at base of each flower, ovate-triangular, ciliate at margin; pedicel glabrous, 2–5 mm long; calyx 5-lobed, glabrous, without glands inside, lobes broadly triangular-ovate, obtuse, margins hyaline, shorter than tube; corolla short-hairy inside, 5-lobed, lobes broadly ovate, thinner at margins, obtuse; corona lobes subglobose, apex rounded, appendages rounded; pollen masses oblong, horizontal; ovaries glabrous; stigma head discoid.
• Follicles 2 per pedicel, lanceolate, glabrous, 5.5–6 cm long, ca. 8 mm broad. Seeds flat, ovate, circular winged, 9–10 mm long, 3–4 mm broad, coma 2 cm long.
